Colour on screen
Appearance depends on your display, its settings and viewing conditions. HEX and RGB identify the digital sample used on this website; they do not guarantee an exact match to paint, a coating or another material.
Before buying or starting production, check a physical RAL sample and, where possible, a sample of the intended material and finish.
Values, names and comparisons
Digital values come from the existing catalogue used as the basis for this version. English RAL Classic names have been checked against the list in the RAL Colours downloads section. Checking names does not certify the catalogue’s digital values.
For other collections, available English names are retained from the existing catalogue. Where no name is available, the colour is identified by its code and collection. Descriptions are written for this catalogue and are not presented as certified manufacturer statements.
Nearby-colour suggestions help you explore visual alternatives; they do not certify matches between materials or physical colour equivalence. We do not publish CMYK equivalents without a defined conversion profile. References to CIELAB, HSB/HSV, HSL and LRV provide general background, not certified measurements for each colour.
