Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies can store small pieces of information in your browser. Session storage also stores information on your device. The catalogue code uses sessionStorage for favourites and comparisons, not for advertising tracking.
Catalogue storage
- ral-compare-en: stores the colours selected for comparison.
- ral-favorites-en: stores the identifiers of your favourite colours.
These entries belong to hueandcode.com and support the catalogue’s features. The code may also save empty lists. They last for the tab’s session and may be recovered if the browser restores that session. The catalogue code does not transmit these lists to the server or use them to track you across other websites.
Deleting or restricting storage
You can clear the comparison and remove colours from your favourites. Your browser’s privacy settings also let you delete website data or restrict storage. Doing so may remove your selections or prevent them from being saved.
Advertising and external websites
Google AdSense, Google Analytics and Google’s consent manager are not currently integrated into this website. There is therefore no corresponding advertising-consent control. This information describes the current English version of the catalogue.
Amazon affiliate links are ordinary external links. Images load from our own server without Amazon scripts. After you click, the destination website’s notices and cookie choices apply.

Simulator colour scheme storage
hueandcode-rooms-v1 — localStorage: the names and colour codes of your schemes, saved at your request with the “Save” button. This storage lets you return to your designs; it is not used for advertising or audience measurement. No saved-scheme entry is created until you use this feature.
Unlike the catalogue’s session storage, these data may remain after the browser is closed. They stay until you or the browser remove them. To remove a scheme, select “Delete” in the simulator. To remove them all, clear the data for hueandcode.com in your browser settings. Blocking storage may prevent saving.
Shared links and PNG export work without an integrated third-party sharing service. Schemes saved on another language version are not automatically available on the English website. Sharing and technical data are explained in the privacy notice.
